Representatives from Clark Hill will provide one hour of legal advice without charge to each nonprofit organization that is referred to them through the Nonprofit Good Practice Guide. If the referred organization's question requires additional time, Clark Hill will discuss this with the organization at the time of the request. The attorney-client privilege will apply with respect to confidential discussions and most other aspects of the work. Clark Hill PLC is not acting as legal counsel to to Grand Valley State University, the Johnson Center for Philanthropy, or the Nonprofit Good Practice Guide.
Facilities Planning Expert in Residence:
a.j. Veneklasen
Representatives from a.j. Veneklasen will provide answers to general inquiries related to facilities planning and development and at the request of the nonprofit, provide preliminary programming, planning, budgeting, and conceptual design services under the “Pro-Bono Studio” program. Additionally, a.j. Veneklasen will assist in evaluating building sites or existing facilities to help determine a project’s viability. Nonprofits can use this information in preparation of grant applications, presentations, marketing collateral and/or loan applications. The Pro-Bono Studio is a free service to nonprofits and social based organizations. a.j. Veneklasen is a construction services company and does not represent the Johnson Center or Grand Valley State University. All information exchanged will be kept strictly confidential.
